30th NACSETAC Annual Meeting

We’re thrilled to announce that our 30th annual meeting will be held April 11-12th, 2024 at the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole on Cape Cod! We expect that there will be ample opportunities for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing with fellow researchers and professionals from across our region.

Schedule

• • Thursday, April 11, 2024
    8-10am: Short Course Session 1 (Jim Occhialini-Alpha Analytical):
    • PFAS Regulatory and Analytical Method Update: This program is designed to provide environmental practitioners with information they can use in the context of the rapidly evolving emerging contaminants aspect of site characterization and remediation programs. PFAS regulations will continue to evolve. An overview and update of recent regulatory developments will be provided in the overall context of PFAS-focused sampling and analytical programs.
  • 10-12pm: Short Course Session 2 (Di Zhao- University of Connecticut):
    • Data Visualization in Python (laptops recommended): This course will cover data processing, exploratory data analysis, and data visualization, using a temperature analysis project as a concrete example to demonstrate their specific applications. Through this project, we will illustrate how data information addresses our concerns and provides valuable insights.
  • 12-1pm: Lunch
    1-4pm: Sessions on Aquatic Toxicology, Environmental Remediation, Oceanography, Marine Chemistry, etc.
    4-5 pm: Keynote: Communicating Science in an Environmental Crisis
