NAC SETAC’s 31st Annual Meeting was held on June 12-13th, 2025 at Champlain College in Burlington, VT.
The Final Conference Program is available for download.
Our greatest thanks go to John Williams and the staff of Aquatec Environmental Inc. for hosting the short course: Overview of Laboratory-based Aquatic Toxicity Testing. Aquatec welcomed eleven attendees, including four surprises, to their laboratory in Williston, VT. The short course included a introductory lecture, which ran about 30 minutes over time for all of the questions and discussions, and a hands-on experience in the working aquatic toxicity laboratory. Chatter at the annual meeting made it clear that the short course provided the attendees with insights and ideas that they will be taking back to their labs and offices. Thank you Aquatec!
The Annual Meeting took place in the stunning Champlain Room at Champlain College, and spilled onto the adjoining rooftop terrace overlooking Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains. We enjoyed ten platform presentations, half of which were student presenters, and six poster presentations, all by student presenters. The evening of June 12 was capped by a keynote address by author (and former NAC President) Emily Monosson, who provided a fascinating introduction to her upcoming book “Ancient Defenses, Modern Chemicals,
a Mismatch for the Ages: How Life Responds to Toxic Chemicals”.
Thank you to everyone who made it to the 31st Annual Meeting and Short Course!
NAC SETAC greatly appreciates our annual meeting and short course sponsors!
