NAC/SETAC Student Participation

The NAC appoints student members to our governing board position.  If you have an interest in this position for the 2014-2015 term, please contact NAC president, Deena Small, president@nacsetac.org

 

Annual Meeting Student Travel Awards

NAC is offering a TRAVEL AWARD for the 2015 Annual Meeting & Short course
This award of $100 is offered to qualifying student attendees who register for the meeting, fill out an award application, and submit an abstract by the deadline, May 1st.

Qualifying Criteria for NAC Meeting Travel Award

  1. Completed registration for the 2015 meeting by the posted deadline of May 1st.
  2. Completed NAC Meeting Travel Award documentation form received by deadline of May 1st (coming soon!).
  3. The individual should submit a letter from their advisor during the application process
  4. Completed 2015-2016 NAC SETAC on-line membership form is required (student membership is free)
  5. The individual must currently be a student and provide academic school information during application process

 


 

Annual Meeting Student Poster & Platform Contests

Best Student Poster / Best Student Platform Presentations

A $100 award each to Best Student Poster and Best Student Platform presentations.

Qualifying Criteria for Student Poster & Platform Awards

  1. The individual must have been the primary contributor on the work.
  2. The individual must have been an active student within the last year.
  3. The individual must present his/her own work.
  4. Poster presenters must attend the entire poster session & be available for questions.
  5. Presentations will be evaluated according to SETAC criteria listed at:
    Platform presentations: Platform Judging (PDF)
    Poster presentations:  Poster Judging (PDF)

Best Student First-Time Poster / Best Student First-Time Platform Presentations

NACSETAC will sponsor a $100 award each to the Best Poster and Platform presentations by a First-time student presenter at a NACSETAC meeting.  For more information please contact Deena Small at president@nacsetac.org.

Qualifying Criteria for Student Poster & Platform Awards

  1. The individual must have been the primary contributor on the work.
  2. The individual must have been an active student within the last year.
  3. The individual must present his/her own work and be a first time presenter at a NACSETAC meeting. Clarification:  Must not have presented in the category (platform or poster) at other scientific national, regional, or local meetings.
  4. Poster presenters must attend the entire poster session & be available for questions.
